Chalon Scores 15 Three-Pointers and Records 27 Assists Against Valmiera

Élan Chalon led 31-26 after the first quarter and 57-45 at halftime, before outscoring Valmiera 52-32 in the second half. Point guard Mathéo Leray posted 15 points on 6 of 9 shooting, 8 assists, and an efficiency rating of 24 in 17 minutes. Grant Golden was the top scorer with 18 points on 9 of 16 shooting. Jeremiah Hill added 14 points with 4 successful three-pointers out of 8 attempts, while Noa Kouakou-Heugue contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds, and Clarence Nadolny had 11 points and 7 assists.

Chalon finished with 15 three-pointers made out of 31 attempts and recorded 27 assists. For the Latvian side, Verners Kohs and Bryce McBride each scored 18 points.

"The ball is moving more because the team is getting to know each other better. On defense, we can be quite pleased as we limited them to 77 points. We can do better, yes, but it's not bad, even if we miss some communication at times. But it's corrected very quickly," commented Noa Kouakou-Heugue to JSL. "Our height advantage helped us tonight. Above all, I note that this team is cohesive. The starters and the players coming off the bench are all important. Everyone pushes each other, which is very encouraging. The same goes for the staff. Communication is very easy. This allows us to fix our issues very quickly during games."

After losing 74-65 in Körfez the previous week, following an opening win against Manchester (79-72), Chalon stands as the only team in Group F with two victories heading into Wednesday's matches: Körfez vs. Manchester and Kalev vs. Bashkimi. Yanis Tonnellier was absent for five to seven weeks and did not play.
